Starlight, star bright.

Welcome to Starlight Theatre, Oklahoma City's home for imaginative and inspiring children's arts education. At Starlight, we believe in the transformative power of storytelling and the incredible potential of every child who steps onto our stage.

Creativity, confidence, and community ignite and sparkle here. This is your child's place to shine—on stage and beyond. Whether it’s their first audition or their tenth production, every student is supported, celebrated, and given space to grow.

Starlight Theatre offers evening & Saturday morning classes in acting and production, summer camps, workshops, specialty events, and mainstage production opportunities.

For Families, By Families

We are wholeheartedly an Oklahoma-based family business. When you choose Starlight, you choose a real family with big dreams. You're directly supporting local. We understand what families need—because we’re a theatre built with families in mind. Our programs are designed to:

  • Encourage Confidence:  Kids learn to speak up, work as a team, and trust themselves.

  • Build Skills: From acting and singing to collaboration and creative thinking, they gain tools that last a lifetime.

  • Accessible & Transparent: With monthly installments & fundraising opportunities, we are the most financially accessible performing arts studio in Oklahoma.

  • Celebrate Every Child: No matter their experience level, every child gets the chance to be seen, heard, and celebrated. No pre-audition is required to enroll.

I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish, I wish tonight.

Our motto? No child turned away due to an inability to pay.

  • The only children's performing arts space that houses an in-stage, 120-seat proscenium style theater where students both rehearse & perform. No traveling!

  • High quality performances -- we rehearse one overall production per season to deliver full set, beautiful costumes, professional lighting & sound. The focus on quality over quantity allows students to see the rigorous process of staging productions.

  • An experienced theatre education team trained in our specially designed Starlight curriculum, rooted in the National Theatre Arts Standards. Our program is uniquely one-of-a-kind.

  • The only arts administration organization for Pre-Teens & Teens in the Metro that puts Starlight decisions directly into the hands of its' constituents.

  • Theatre Classes & Camps for upper elementary ages & all experience levels.

  • Philanthropic opportunities: every show seeks to support our OKC community beyond the stage.

  • 100% Transparency: you have the ability to see where your funds are going and have the ability to be as involved as you want.

  • A space that foster connection, creation, and community among our students onstage & off!

FIRST STAR I SEE TONIGHT

WHAT MAKES US SPARKLE

BEHIND THE MAGIC.

We're the Wickstroms.

Meet our family! As a husband and wife team, Justice & Brenna Wickstrom began the local and successful Storyteller Theatre OKC in 2023. However, it was difficult to blend our professional company with the needs we desired out of an education studio for kids. We get the long rehearsal nights and the early mornings. We get the juggling act of schedules, meals, and carpool lines. We get that theatre can be both magical and demanding, both inspiring and expensive. That’s why we’ve built a company that puts family first—from our ticket prices to our rehearsal structure to the way we welcome kids into the world of theatre. We believe the arts should bring families together, not stretch them thin. At the end of the day, we’re not just creating shows—we’re creating space for families to connect, to dream, and to share something beautiful. Because if there’s one thing we know, it’s that families thrive when they’re seen, supported, and inspired.

We know what it’s like to live the theatre life—late nights, long rehearsals, quick dinners, and the constant juggle. That’s why we’ve built our program to make life a little easier and a lot more connected:

🍽️ Full Kitchen & Weekly Meal Plan
Skip the drive-thru! We offer a full kitchen and a weekly meal plan, so you can enjoy real food and real connection instead of another rushed McDonald’s run.

💬 Parent Circles & Small Groups
Being a parent, in-and-of itself can be isolating. Our small groups create space for parents to share, support, and connect—with people who understand the joys and chaos of raising young performers.

🙌 Volunteer on Your Terms
We love when families get involved—but we also know life is busy. Volunteer as much or as little as you’d like, with zero guilt either way.

💡 Simple Fundraising, Big Impact
We provide easy, creative fundraising options that let your child take ownership and participate in the magic of making theatre happen—without overwhelming you.

Because at the end of the day, we’re not just making theatre—we’re building a community.

HOW WE SUPPORT FAMILIES

We're here to make your young performer's theatre journey easier and brighter.
